Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the CamPetro.com website (the "Site"), operated by Snowfall Energy LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), located at 1321 Upland Dr. #1570, Houston, TX 77042. These Terms contain disclaimers of warranties, limitations of liability, an indemnification clause, and a binding class-action waiver.

By accessing or using the Site or registering for an account, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Site.

1. Description of Service

CamPetro.com provides an online technical reference platform for geoscientists, engineers, and energy professionals. The Site offers petrophysical definitions, technical articles, mathematical equations, interactive calculators, worked examples, downloadable or viewable code implementations (including Python scripts), and registered user account features (collectively, the "Services").

2. AI-Assisted Content Disclosure & User Duty to Verify

AI Generation: You acknowledge and understand that the content, definitions, formulas, calculations, code implementations, and explanations published on CamPetro.com were written or created with the assistance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems and may not have been fully independently verified.

Independent Verification Required: AI-generated information may contain errors, inaccuracies, technical hallucinations, outdated material, or omissions. The content is provided solely for general reference and preliminary background reading. You agree that you must independently verify any definition, equation, data point, code snippet, or interpretation obtained from the Site before relying on it for academic, professional, engineering, legal, drilling, operational, or commercial purposes.

THE CONTENT AND SERVICES PROVIDED ON CAMPETRO.COM—INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO CALCULATIONS CONCERNING PORE PRESSURE, WELLBORE STABILITY, MUD-WEIGHT WINDOWS, FORMATION EVALUATION, AND PIPELINE/DRILLING ENGINEERING—DO NOT CONSTITUTE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING, GEOLOGICAL, OR SAFETY ADVICE. SNOWFALL ENERGY LLC IS NOT ACTING AS YOUR LICENSED PROFESSIONAL ENGINEER OR CONSULTANT. THE SITE’S OUTPUTS MUST NOT BE USED AS THE SOLE BASIS FOR OPERATIONAL, DRILLING, SAFETY, OR CAPITAL DECISIONS. NO FIDUCIARY OR PROFESSIONAL DUTY IS CREATED BY YOUR USE OF THE SITE.

4. User Accounts, Eligibility & Security

WARRANTIES THAT THE CONTENT OR CODE IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, RELIABLE, CURRENT, OR FREE OF ERRORS, OMISSIONS, BUGS, OR DEFECTS.
WARRANTIES THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR FREE FROM VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

YOUR USE OF THE SITE AND ANY RELIANCE UPON ITS CONTENT OR CODE IS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

6. Gated Python Code & Software License

6.1 Limited License: Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Snowfall Energy LLC grants registered users a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view, download, and execute gated Python code snippets made available on the Site solely for personal, educational, or internal testing purposes.

6.2 Restrictions: You shall not: (a) publicly redistribute, sublicense, lease, or resell the code; (b) deploy the code into production-critical operational systems without independent verification and code review; or (c) remove any proprietary notices or attributions attached to the code.

6.3 Open Source Components: Certain code routines may incorporate third-party open-source libraries, which remain governed by their respective open-source license agreements.

7. Limitation of Liability & Financial Cap

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SNOWFALL ENERGY LLC, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, SAVINGS, DRILLING OR OPERATIONAL LOSSES, WELLBORE FAILURES, ENGINEERING FAILURES, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES) ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SITE, CONTENT, OR CODE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY OF SNOWFALL ENERGY LLC ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SITE EXCEED ONE HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS ($100.00 USD) OR THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO SNOWFALL ENERGY LLC FOR ACCESS TO THE SITE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Snowfall Energy LLC, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your violation of these Terms; (b) your misuse of the Site, content, or Python code; or (c) any operational, drilling, or engineering decisions made by you or your employer based upon information obtained from the Site.

9. Intellectual Property & Usage Restrictions

9.1 Ownership: Unless otherwise stated, all site design, text, layout, software, code, and content are the intellectual property of Snowfall Energy LLC or its licensors. You may access the Site for personal, educational, or internal business reference.

9.2 Automated Access & AI Scraping Prohibition: You may not scrape, systematically copy, republish, or redistribute the content in bulk. Expressly, you shall not use, extract, scrape, or mine any text, data, code, or content from the Site for the purpose of training, fine-tuning, or populating artificial intelligence systems, large language models (LLMs), or machine-learning algorithms without express written permission from Snowfall Energy LLC.

9.3 Third-Party Trademarks & Citations: Product names, software titles, logging tool family names (e.g., specific wireline or LWD tool brand names), and academic literature cited on the Site are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective holders. Reference to them does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or endorsement by Snowfall Energy LLC. Published equations and technical constants are reproduced strictly for educational attribution.

10. Governing Law, Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution

10.1 Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

10.2 Mandatory Informal Dispute Resolution: Prior to initiating formal legal proceedings, you and Snowfall Energy LLC agree to attempt to resolve any dispute, claim, or controversy informally for a period of at least thirty (30) days by contacting legal@campetro.com.

10.3 Venue & Class Action Waiver: Any legal suit, action, or proceeding arising out of these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Harris County, Texas. YOU AND SNOWFALL ENERGY LLC AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

11. Miscellaneous & General Terms

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be severed, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Snowfall Energy LLC regarding the Site.

Waiver: No failure or delay by Snowfall Energy LLC in exercising any right under these Terms shall operate as a waiver thereof.

Survival: Sections 2, 3, 5, 6.2, 7, 8, 9, 10, and 11 shall survive any termination of these Terms or your account.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. For material changes impacting registered accounts, we will notify registered users via email or a prominent site notice at least thirty (30) days prior to the effective date. Non-material changes take effect immediately upon posting. Updated versions will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" and "Effective Date".
